Gun Dog and Working Dog Drying Coats With Bamboo

A popular choice with gun dog and working dog owners around the world, the snugglezzz dog drying coats are designed for dogs that get wet, get muddy and get everywhere!

They are handmade and offer luxurious, bamboo, cotton and fleece fabrics to not only dry your dog quickly but to also keep it warm, whether this follows a dip in the river, sea or on the sofa after a bath.

What's more, the outer fleece keeps the cold out and stops water from damaging furniture or soaking into car seats.

The inner bamboo and cotton mixed fabric is an expensive choice of fabric, but it is very absorbent, has hypoallergenic properties and considerably reduces dog odours. It also keeps its shape and form wash after wash.

After water play or rain, allow your dog to naturally shake the excess water off and then apply the coat. There are velcro fasteners on the coat and these have been strategically placed to offer the best fixing and freedom of movement. You can then let the bamboo/cotton inner fabric soak up the water.

Disclaimer: You can leave the coat on for as long as you wish but please check on your dog regularly to make sure they are comfortable and warm as they dry. They are great insulators so your dog may become quite warm if the ambient/home heating temperature is high.

Conversely, in colder conditions, double-check that your dog is warm enough as it dries. The coats have been designed to keep your dog warm but regular checking of your dog and how the coat is absorbing the water and moisture is recommended.

Why are they so good for gundogs and working dog breeds?

Dogs that fall into these two categories make up 65% of our customer base and owners of these dogs tell us that if their dogs had a choice they would happily spend as much of their time swimming and rolling around in mud and sand as anything else.

As manufacturers, we wanted to make a coat that dries and keeps warmth in and keeps the cold out. So when all the fun is over and you apply the dog coat you can be safe in the knowledge that it will stay in place and will get to work on drying your dog as soon as it is applied. What's more, the walk back to the car will be a comfortable and warm one as the fleece keeps out any cold, harsh winds, rain, mud, sand and more.

An added bonus is that the drying coat will not allow water to seep out onto car seats or furniture. This is because the polyester fleece materials we use in the outer layer is a tightly woven material and water finds it very difficult to enter.

This is why it is such a great fabric to use if you want to keep the cold from getting onto your dog's fur as it dries. A fleece material will also absorb very little water so it works well at keeping out rain. This is why an absorbent inner layer and a non-absorbent outer layer works really well in this style of drying coat. This all adds up to a 'keep warm as your dog dries' coat.

For show dogs or those doing agility or flyball

Show dogs can get cold and a little uncomfortable between events, whether this is an important breed show or an agility or flyball event. We have added the very best materials which include an outer fleece to keep your dog warm when it is drying. Alternatively, put the coat on to keep your dog warm and protect the coat between events or showing.

The mix of bamboo and cotton in the inner fabric is very absorbent and bamboo is well known for its low odour retaining properties. This means that you keep your dog dry, warm, happy and you don't have to battle odours as often.

The overall fit

The coats wrap around your dog so they can be used as a dog towelling robe. It is draped over the dog and then fastens at the sides and front with double sewn in strips of very strong velcro. This ensures a secure fit around the chest and sides and leaves plenty of room for adjustment.

Uses for the drying coats

These drying coats have a number of uses and can be used as a large wrap around towel coat or to keep your dog warm and protected from cold winds when it is wet.

Bath time

Just put the coat on your dog when it gets out of the bath or after an initial towel dry. Please try to soak up some of the water with a normal towel if your dog has a long or thick coat.

The coat is designed to soak up a lot of the remaining water, but as importantly it will keep your dog warm as it dries. The absorbency of the inner fabric coupled with the water-resistant properties of the outer fleece fabric should also keep wet patches on furniture and bedding to a minimum.

At the beach or by the river

As soon as you or your dog have had enough water activity, just wrap your dog in the coat following the first or second shake! The bamboo and cotton towelling material will absorb the water and the fleece will keep your dog warm and protected from wind.

This is because fleece has good thermal properties but is also a tightly wound fabric and this means wind struggles to get through.

If you plan to return home in your car the coat will also help to keep wet patches and stains to a minimum in your car and on seats.
