Will this harness fit my dog?

We have fitted this front clip dog harness to many breeds of dog in the UK and the range and levels of adjustment is large. Before you buy, please do check minimum and maximum sizes in the size tab before ordering as not all sizes of harness are the same from all manufacturers.

How can it prevent pulling?

The structure, design and ergonomics of this front attachment harness ensures a good all-round fit and customers tell us they have much more control over their dogs when using this type of harness with two lead clips. Add a double ended lead to both the top and front clip and you have a dog harness that can help to prevent pulling. When you add one end of a lead to a top clip you have a braking action. You can then add the other end to the front clip. This will give you a subtle steering motion to direct your dog away from pulling forward. This can happen naturally as the front part of the lead goes tight. 

If your dog pulls excessively, a harness with a top and front clip could be a very good investment. Many dog owners also purchase a double ended training lead as it has several uses. Can it be used as an every day harness?

Yes. This type of front attachment harness is a really good choice as an all-round harness and for every day use. Many of our customers have different requirements. Some want to replace a tired looking harness or a strap only version. Some comment that they don't like the way their existing harness fits the dog or that it often backs out of the harness. We often recommend a product like this front clip harness because it is well made, has some padding and is easy to adjust and fit. The clips are also super strong and the fact that it goes under the legs and fastens at the sides makes it very secure.

By attaching a standard lead to the top clip of this harness, you have a quality dog walking aid that is comfortable for the dog, strong and secure, easy to wash and built to last.

Can it be used as a puppy harness?

Yes. They are lightweight but very strong. Therefore, they are a great choice for puppies and smaller dogs. They are more robust than the mesh harnesses so will stand up to pulling and wear and tear from large dogs too.

How easy are these harnesses to fit?

You simply place the neck opening over the dog's head, tuck the front plate and straps through the front legs and fasten at the sides - it takes less than 10 seconds. You can adjust the neck and body straps to fit, when the harness is off or on the dog.

How do I make sure that I get the correct size?

All you need to do is measure your dog around the girth of the lower chest/rib cage as shown on the image in the size guide tab above. This is the circumference around the widest part of the chest and just behind the front legs. You can then match that size of this no pull dog harness with one shown in the size table. If you are very close to the next size up then we'd recommend that you get the larger size.

Does this front attachment harness have a handle?

There is a reinforced handle just above the top clip, which can come in handy if you want to lift or move your dog away from confrontational situations or to aid climbing on hikes etc.

Is this harness good for dark walks?

The reflective properties of this front clip dog harness means that it is classed as a high vis no pull dog harness. It will show up in car headlights and street lights when it is dark. It also has a loop where a LED light can be attached. Therefore, it makes a good high viz option for darker walks.

We are based in Suffolk, UK and deliveries should take 2-3 working days. Please allow up to 4 working days during busy periods. If you reside outside of the UK, your dog harness should be with you within 5-9 working days.

There have been many occasions where we have helped to adjust and fit a harness that the customer thought was too large or small, only to find that it could be adjusted to fit perfectly.
