What is the classification of the Domestic dog from Phylum to Species?

Phylum - Chordata.
Subphylum - Vertebrata.
Class - Mammalia.
Order - Carnivora.
Family - Canidae.
Genus - Canis.
Species - Familiaris.
The above shows the classification of the domestic dog. It's the one you probably come across in most books and on the web if you do a search.
But there are other versions that show more subgroups and information on each group.
Phylum - Chordata = The animals in this group are vertebrates or closely related invertebrates. Chordates are in this group because at some stage in their lives they have shared the same body characteristics.
Subphylum - Vertebrata = All animals with a spinal column or backbone. This includes all animals from Fish to Human.
Class - Mammalia = A large group of warm blooded animals. They have sweat glands and usually have some hair on their body to keep warm. The females have mammary glands which produce milk to feed their newborns.
Sub class - Theria = Animals in this group have a placenta and give birth to live young. Most of these newborns can suckle on their mothers nipples. Their ears are on the outside of their head and their ankles have a range of motion and physical strength.
Order - Carnivora = In this group carnivorans include carnivores, omnivores and certain species of herbivores. Carnivores primarily eat meat but others will also eat fruits and vegetable matter, which makes them omnivores. There are also some herbivores who don't eat any meat at all.
Suborder - Caniformia or Canoidea (dog like) = They tend to be more omnivores than carnivores, this could be down to being scavengers. And they usually have long snouts and non-retractable claws.
Family - Canidae = A biological family of carnivores and omnivores. A group that share common ancestry which include Wolves, Jackals and the Domestic dog. This family is called Canid.
Subfamily - Caninae = This group includes all living canids and their fossil relatives.
Tribe - Canini= The canidae family are divided into two groups 'wolf like' and 'dog like' animals and are in the Tribe canini. The foxes are in the tribe vulpini.
Genus - Canis = This group contains the Wolf, Coyote, Jackal and Domestic dog.
Species - Canis Lupas = The grey wolf which is believed to be the largest wild member of the canidae family, shares a common ancestry with the domestic dog.
Subspecies - Canis Lupas familiaris = The domestic dog. The Smithsonian Institute and the American Society of Mammalogists reclassified the domestic dog in 1993 from the separate species of Canis Familiaris to Canis Lupus Familiaris, which is a subspecies of the grey wolf.
